Base is designed so your chats stay on your iPhone. Offline Base LLC does not collect your prompts, responses, chat history, speech audio, or selected file contents.

What Base handles on your device
Chats and AI responses
Your prompts and the model's responses are processed on your iPhone. Chat history stays in Base's private app container unless you delete it or delete the app.
Voice input
If you choose voice input, Base uses Apple's Speech framework with on-device recognition required. Base does not upload or retain a microphone recording; the resulting text can become part of your local chat.
Text and PDF attachments
Base reads only files you select. It extracts text on your device and may save that extracted text with the local chat. Base does not upload the original file or its contents to Offline Base LLC.
Diagnostics
Model, device, operating-system, storage, and performance details shown in Diagnostics are calculated on your device and are not sent to Offline Base LLC.
One model download, then offline chat
During first setup, Base connects to Hugging Face to download the verified Liquid LFM2.5 model files. Hugging Face may receive the ordinary network information needed to serve that download, such as your IP address and request metadata.
Offline Base LLC does not receive your chats through that download. After the model is installed, generating responses does not require an internet connection.
What we do not collect
Base has no account system, advertising SDK, or analytics SDK. It does not track you across apps or websites. Offline Base LLC does not sell or share app data because the app does not send that data to us.
Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions are requested only if you use voice input. Files are opened only after you select them through the iOS file picker.
Storage, deletion, and contact
Chats, extracted attachment text, and model files remain in Base's private app container. Deleting a chat removes its local chat record. Deleting Base removes its local app data from the device.
